Rs 3,000 crore GST collected in Kutch so far

Compared to previous years, Goods and Service Tax (GST) payers have increased. In Kutch alone, so far, a total of Rs 3,000 crore GST has been collected. This information was shared by Zakir Hussein, joint commissioner, Central GST, Hussein and Sharma were addressing the participants of a eminar on “Two years of Goods and Service Tax (GST)-An Overview” jointly organized in Gandhidham by the Federation  of Kutch Industries Association (Fokia), Central GST and State GST. 

“As our department is facing a staff crunch, we request the  tax payers to cooperate with us,” said Bhupendra Shrimali, deputy commissioner, state GST. Fokia managing director  Nimish Fadke said that all big, medium and small industry players can send their questions on GST directly to them. Those present in the seminar included Avinash Dalal, national president of All India Micro Small and Medium Enterprise Association, and Fokia director Talakshi Nandu. Altogether 150 representatives from more than 50 industries participated in the seminar.
